Some young people who have been working with the Young People's Participation Officer have developed a support group which they have named RAW , this stands for Rights And Wrongs. This group of young people have undertaken 'TOTAL RESPECT' training, which is all about communication and developing confidence. They help to present the training, support other young people, take part in interviews and carry out presentations. They also have a lot of fun .
If you have any problems which you would like to talk through with a young person rather than an adult you can contact a RAW member through the Young People's Participation Officer. WHAT WE DO FOR OTHERS
Imagine moving house and having to put all of your belongings in black bin bags instead of a suitcase, or not being allowed to stay at friends house because their parents haven’t had a police check. It may sound a bit over the top but it was two examples of situations that young people with social workers used to have to deal with on a regular basis. That was until R.A.W got involved! ....more
